Arkansas has extended its first 2021 football scholarship offer inside the state.
Fort Smith Northside Dreyden Norwood, 6-1, 175, announced the offer on Twitter on Monday morning.
Thanks to Coach Morris and the University of Arkansas for blessing me with my first offer!!#woopig pic.twitter.com/5cEoGvdAfx— Dreyden Norwood (@DreydenNorwood) February 11, 2019
Norwood is the cousin of Oklahoma cornerback Tre Norwood. The younger Norwood is listed as a quarterback on Northside’s roster, but can play any number of positions in college. With Derrick “Deuce” Wise now gone to college, Norwood will get a great chance to show what he can do in 2019.
Tre was a member of the Class of 2017 and drew offers from the Sooners, Notre Dame, Louisville and many others, but then-Arkansas coach Bret Bielema opted not to offer him.
Arkansas has now offered four prospects in Arkansas in 2020, one in 2021 and two in 2022.
