Arkansas has landed Pulaski Academy wide receiver John David White as a preferred walk-on.
White was one of the seven official visitors at Arkansas this weekend. He made the commitment on Twitter Monday night.
Been a Hog ever since I could walk. Now Razorback Nation—WATCH ME RUN! I am 100% committed to Coach Morris, Coach Stepp, Coach Craddock, Coach Lunney, and mostly to the great state of Arkansas! #WeHawgs🐗 #HammerDown🔨 pic.twitter.com/X30xI4l4Np— John David White (@JOHNDAVIDWHITE_) January 22, 2019
White had a big senior season helping the Bruins to a Class 5A state runner-up finish. He caught 86 passes for 1,732 yards and 30 touchdowns.
He joins Searcy offensive lineman Andrew Vest, 6-6, 305, as committed to the Hogs as a preferred walk-on. White, 6-0, 185, will join his best friend Hudson Henry as an Arkansas freshman in this class.
Following his official visit, White talked to Hogville.net and Pig Trail Nation about his time at Arkansas.
He chose the Hogs over UCA after also drawing offers from Air Force, Ouachita Baptist, Kentucky PWO, Arkansas State PWO and Tennessee-Martin.
