The Razorbacks (21-14) are coming off a thrilling overtime win over Houston, 88-80, in the first-round game on Thursday. Arkansas had three players in double figures led by redshirt sophomore Chelsea Dungee who scored 37 points. Junior Kiara Williams went 7-for-7 tying her season-best with 15 points. Williams added five blocks in the win. Malica Monk was also in double figures with 13 points for Arkansas.

Nearly 4,000 fans poured into Bud Walton Arena on Thursday for the first-round contest – something that was not lost on the Razorback coaches or players. Arkansas head coach Mike Neighbors thanked the crowd for coming out and the players credited the fans for lifting them up near the end of the game.

The WNIT field of 64 teams has been cut in half after the first round of games were completed this weekend. If Arkansas were to win, they would face the winner of UT-Arlington/TCU later in the week. The day, time and location will be determined after Sunday’s game.

The Razorbacks are playing well going 4-1 in their last five games. Dungee averages 28.0 points per game in that stretch with Alexis Tolefree and Jailyn Mason also in double figures through the SEC and WNIT Tournaments.

The challenge Arkansas faces with UAB comes from the Blazers’ balance. Four players average double figures behind 14.0 ppg from Rachael Childress. Four players have started all 32 of UAB’s games with a fifth starting in 30 of those contests. While three players average more than 30 minutes, nine players on the Blazers’ roster log double digits on the floor. In addition, four Blazers average close to five rebounds per game.
