Swinging a hot bat in the Fayetteville Regional, Grad Transfer Trevor Ezell had his first four-hit game of the season Saturday Night. The Arkansas leadoff man hit a career-high three doubles in Arkansas’ 3-1 win over TCU. Batting from the right side in the 6th, the switch-hitting Ezell lined a double down the right field line with two outs scoring a run to give the Razorbacks a 3-0 lead. The Arkansas First Baseman homered from the right side Friday in the 8th facing Central Connecticut State delivering a two-run shot.
“He’s swung the bat (recently) from the right side about as well as he has all year,” Arkansas Head Coach Dave Van Horn said. Ezell is 7 for 10 in this Regional with four RBIs combined and his 22 doubles on the year are good for a tie with Dominic Fletcher for the SEC Lead. His .325 batting average ranks third on the team entering the Regional Final as the Hogs await the winner of Central Connecticut State and TCU. The winner of that game at 2 p.m. will have to beat the Hogs twice to win the Regional.
First pitch for Arkansas is tonight at eight.
