Chad Morris, Arkansas Assistants hitting Road to see Prospects Today

Arkansas coach Chad Morris and the assistant coaches are on the road today doing in-home visits with prospects.

Among the prospects slated to receive visits from today are Putnam City (Okla.) defensive lineman Collin Clay, Tyler (Texas) Lee offensive lineman Beaux Limmer and the Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman pair of wide receiver Trey Knox and cornerback Adonis Otey. 

Morris, Barry Lunney Jr. and Steve Caldwell are slated to see Clay. The defensive lineman had 66 tackles, 23 solo, 5.5 sacks, two pass breakups and rushed for six yards as a senior. Clay committed to Arkansas on July 26. He can play defensive end or tackle in Arkansas’ scheme.

Jeff Traylor and Dustin Fry will see Limmer. He committed to the Razorbacks on March 8. Limmer is one of three offensive linemen committed to Arkansas plus one preferred walk-on pledge. 

Mark Smith, Ron Cooper and Justin Stepp will be at Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman today to visit wide receiver Trey Knox and cornerback Adonis Otey. Knox committed to the Hogs on Oct. 1 while Otey gave them a pledge on Aug. 1.

As a senior, Knox caught 33 passes for 532 yards and four touchdowns, he rushed 34 times for 301 yards and five touchdowns while also 0 for 2 passing with an interception. On defense, Knox had 19 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks. He returned two kickoffs for three yards. 

Otey completed 8 of 14 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown, rushed 65 times for 667 yards and eight touchdowns, caught 13 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Otey had five tackles and an interception. He returned one kickoff for 46 yards and three punts for 105 yards. 

Arkansas is planning to sign 29 prospects in the Class of 2019. They will have some official visitors on campus the Dec. 7-9 weekend.
