Fletcher selected by the Diamondbacks on day one of the MLB Draft


Arkansas junior center fielder Dominic Fletcher has been selected by Arizona Diamondbacks in the Competitive Balance Round B round of the 2019 MLB Draft with the 75th overall pick.  The slot money for the 75th pick in the draft is $831,100.

Fletcher from Cypress, California is a plus outfielder who was rated as the 91st overall prospect in the 2019 MLB Draft by MLB.com.

This season Fletcher is leading the Razorbacks with 56 RBI. He is hitting .312 starting all 61 games this season in centerfield. He has hit 10 HR and 23 doubles and has a .526 slugging percentage. In 189 career games as a Razorback, Fletcher has 32 HR, 142 RBI and 46 doubles. 

Fletcher’s brother David is an infielder for the Los Angeles Angels. Fletcher joins teammate Isaiah Campbell as the only two Hogs drafted on day one of the MLB Draft.  Fletcher the 75th pick went one pick ahead of Campbell who went 76th to the Seattle Mariners.

Fletcher and the Hogs will return to the field this weekend in the Fayetteville Super Regional against Ole Miss.
