Former Hog Biggers in Class A Short Season with Spokane

An 8th-Round Pick of the Texas Rangers, Former Hog Jax Biggers made his affiliated debut playing for Spokane in the Northwest League last night.  Biggers went 1 for 5 batting in the two spot for the Indians.

Biggers is in Class A Short Season after helping Arkansas reach the College World Series Finals.  The Missouri City, Texas native hit .280 with nine doubles, four dingers and 26 RBIs as a Junior.  He fractured his left index finger late in the regular season facing Texas A&M, but returned to action in a Razorback win over Florida in the SEC Tournament.  As a sophomore, Biggers’ first year on the Hill, he led all Arkansas players in hitting with an average of .338.
