Fayetteville, AR-

Here’s the transcription from our interview with Otis Kirk looking at where the Hogs stand after signing 21 in the early signing period. Plus, Otis has a recap from Prospect Day as Hog Offers go out to a recruit from 2021, and two recruits from 2022:

Drew Amman
Otis Kirk is with us, you had a busy weekend, but you are always busy, it’s a ‘fun busy’ time if you wanna use that phrase,
Chris Russell linebacker, very much on the Hogs’ radar, what’s up there?
Otis Kirk
I tell you what he’s one of the best looking linebackers I’ve seen, and out of all of the recruits they’ve brought in, he’s one of the best I’ve seen, and he fits what
you look for in a linebacker, six-two 220, played running back linebacker and I’ll tell you, he reminds me a lot of Scoota.
His host was Scoota. If you can get Russell and Lakia Henry in here in that class in 2019, let me tell you, that’s the way they wanna close. Hold the five commitments
they’ve got, add Henry and Russell.
Let’s look at Prospect Day, three offered by the Hogs, Isaiah Jacobs very familiar name in terms of being a running back and that’s because
he is the younger brother of Josh out of Alabama and this is Isaiah Jacobs out of Owasso Oklahoma Class of 2020.
I had a guy tell me last week that at the same stage of their career Isaiah is ahead of where Josh was at that point, not saying that will turn out in college but just at this stage in their career, he feels like he is at a higher spot. Both of those kids and this is the great thing about going to Owasso, he’s gonna get
attention there,
but you know Josh fllew under the radar for so long, and then Bama came in and kind of surprised everyone and offered but I think he’s gonna get the recognition
now that people have seen his tape.
Another Razorback offer, this is E’marion Harris talking up front out of the Class of 2022.
Yeah his Dad played here and lettered for four years, from Marianna, and
I knew him well.
E’Marion has an offer from Alabama. 9th grader, has an Arkansas Alabama and Texas State offer.
Last guy on this list James Jointer, LR Parkview product also out of the Class of 2022.
Yeah it’s weird because they haven’t offered anybody in the state in 2021, but 2022 you have two,
can play on both sides of the ball and Arkansas is probably looking at him at running back.
Let’s talk about a guy out of 2021, tight end who is out of Mena, Mason Brotherton.
Yeah like that kid know a lot his relatives, graduated school with some, actually played softball against his Dad many times and his Dad is a great athlete too. He’s a guy that Memphis offered,
UCLA is on him as well, he’s going down to Florida to visit. He’ll be back to Arkansas several times, you know Ole Miss Texas is showing interest.
Tell me about this John Oliver kid, love seeing him on twitter,
John Oliver I tell you
he’s gonna play college football, and I don’t know if that’s gonna be at Arkansas but let me tell you something, if that kid never plays one minute
of college football, he’s gonna have a successful life, if that kid never changes, I never want him to change, I mean no one and I mean no one has an attitude like
this kid
Has some charisma too.
Oh yeah, I’m cheering for him, don’t know how it will play out in his recruiting totally, but
I’m cheering him and hey, I’d like him to be President someday or something.
Back up front,
Ty’kieast Crawford, someone who says Arkansas is his favorite right now.
Talked to him last night after the Prospect Day, and he told me that
he’s committed to Baylor but that is just a verbal commit.
but he’s got some good offers, Baylor SMU, Oklahoma State,
Much more on that from Otis
on Hogville, he mentioned Hogville,
a lot of articles on there, and a recap from prospect day on there as well,
Otis Kirk joining us here on the Pig Trail Show.
Much more on the Pig Trail coming up after this.
