Fayetteville, AR-

Second-Year Arkansas Receivers Coach Justin Stepp says a Murfreesboro Tennessee Native gets credit for the new motto (Snag Crew) for Hog Receivers. “We wanted something unique, catchy, something people could latch onto.  You wouldn’t believe it, people ask me about it as I walk through the Dallas Airport, also got it in Tampa Florida. Trey Knox came up with it.
Knox is one of four 4-Star Wideouts the Hogs count on to make an immediate impact from the 2019 Class. But put the recruiting rankings to the side, that’s how Stepp thinks.

“I could care less man, don’t care if they’re zero stars, I just want guys who when you take the ball away from them,
it crushes them,” Stepp said.

Mike Woods, D’Vion Warren, Deon Stewart, Jordan Jones and Koilan Jackson. Those guys return, but how will they mesh with newcomers Knox, TQ Jackson, Shamar Nash, Treylon Burks and John David White? That’s one of the questions Stepp will try to answer in 2019. Stepp just helped the Hogs land four top 50 receivers in the 2019 Class: Signees Knox, Jackson, Nash & Burks.  Arkansas didn’t get much at all from the receivers in 2018 in a 2-10 season. However, props to the Razorbacks for bringing in highly-touted receivers.  They addressed size and speed in this class, but it goes beyond those two components.

“They love football, have the right work ethic, and love competition.
“That’s what we got in all of the guys that we signed this year,” Stepp notes.

Add preferred walk-on John David White to the mix and Arkansas is set to put the pieces in place for a turnaround season.
