Parker, Chadwick, Brown & Campbell Among the Elite

Fayetteville, AR-

Nine days removed from opening the National Relay Championships in Fayetteville with a win, the Arkansas Women’s 4X100M Relay Team looks to capture an SEC Title.  We sat down with these four Razorback Standouts (Kiara Parker, Payton Chadwick, Janeek Brown & Kethlin Campbell ahead of SEC Championships in Fayetteville Thursday through Saturday.  Here’s that interview from John McDonnell Field:

Kiara Parker:

“Payton is the Mom of the group, we call her granny, nana, memaw, that’s what it is, we call her memaw and it fits her well. Whenever she talks, she can talk, and Kethlin is
another grandma of the group. She’s quiet…once they
talk they can talk.”

It’s your senior year, you wanna go out right in SECs,
and there’s a lot that goes into this week.

Payton Chadwick

“We’re the first event of the scoring so, if we perform,
well then okay, everyone is like, the 4×100 is doing well,
let’s carry that momentum and win SECs.”
How much do you love coming to work with this group every day?
Janeek Brown
“On a scale from one to ten…maybe eight. Just kidding. I like
working with them because they motivate each other
and push each other, they don’t just want to win
for themselves, they want to win for everyone else”
Kethlin, you have the anchor, what about the pressure there?

“When I’m watching everyone run, I’m like Kiara is doing
really well, Payton is doing really well, now here comes
Janeek.  I got to get ready.
Everybody puts in the work, so I just have to bring it home.”
