Crockett (Texas) Class of 2020 tight end Allen Horace was at Arkansas on Saturday.

The talented Horace was offered by Arkansas on June 15. He talked about his impressions of Arkansas following the visit.

“It was my first time coming up to Arkansas, it took seven hours but it was nice,” Crockett said. “Driving through Oklahoma and through the mountains was nice.”

Arkansas has been among the top schools in the nation since 2010 sending tight ends to the NFL. That fact didn’t escape Horace.

“The coaches are pretty cool,” Horace said. “They are like my coaches at home. I have a great relationship with them. They have three tight ends in the NFL, so they’ve done really well with tight ends.”

How much did the visit help Arkansas’ chances with you?

“They did pretty well making a case for themselves but they’ve always been at the top of my list,” Horace said. “Texas Tech and Baylor are also recruiting me hard.”

The distance to Arkansas isn’t a factor for you?

“Leaving Texas is leaving Texas, I’m not a die hard Texas person,” Crockett said. “Playing in the SEC, that would amazing.”

He has no commitment timeline. As a junior, Horace caught 29 passes for 468 yards and nine touchdowns.

In addition to the Hogs, Baylor and Red Raiders, he holds offers from Houston, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
