Arkansas has extended a preferred walk-on offer to Jonesboro High School linebacker Logan Orr.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Orr announced the offer on Twitter on Tuesday.
As a senior, Orr and Jonesboro came up one point short in the Class 6A State Playoff semifinals. They fell to Benton, who will face Greenwood on Saturday at noon in War Memorial Stadium, this past Friday. In that game, Orr had eight tackles, including six unassisted and one tackle for loss. Jonesboro finished the season 8-5.
For the season, Orr finished with 85 tackles, including 41 unassisted, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and one interception. Jonesboro coach Randy Coleman is high on what Orr can bring to a college team.

Arkansas currently has a commitment from Searcy offensive tackle Andrew Vest to be a preferred walk-on. Among the Hogs are also recruiting tp be a preferred walk-on are Shiloh Christian offensive lineman Logan Kallesen, Cabot safety Zhane Harper, Conway quarterback Jovoni Johnson, Pulaski Academy wide receiver John David White and Eads (Tenn.) Briarcrest Christian tight end Richard Hunt.
