Arkansas’ first summer camp is for specialists and several of the best in the region are in Fayetteville.

The camp is for kickers, punters and long snappers. Several prospects made a strong impression during the first half of the camp on Sunday.

Among the 2021 kickers and punters are Lexington (Tenn.) High School’s Connor Wood, Flower Mound (Texas) High School’s Bert Auburn and Andover (Kan.) High School’s David Kemp.

In 2020, Glen Rose’s Colby Steed, Cabot’s Rhett Thurman, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy’s Tyler Loop and Dallas (Texas) Jesuit’s Ethan Lane looked good.

A couple of long snappers who impressed were Tupelo (Miss.) High School’s Hayes Hammonds and Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor’s Grant Reid, both 2020 recruits.

Several Arkansas coaches were at various combines on Saturday. Among the places they went was Conway, Huntsville (Texas) and Marshall (Texas). Several coaches will be in Memphis one week from today at another combine.
