Arkansas has landed a commitment from Tulsa (Okla.) Union offensive lineman Ricky Stromberg.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Stromberg is a four-star recruit with 247Sports with a grade of 90. Stromberg was offered by the Hogs on Monday and committed. He had been committed to Tulsa. He announced the new pledge on Twitter on Tuesday morning and will sign with the Razorbacks at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Stromberg talked to Hogville.net and Pig Trail Nation about why he chose the Razorbacks.

“I chose Arkansas because I think it’s the best fit for me and I like the coaching staff,” Stromberg said. “The fans there are incredible. Their support. The fans supported them all the way through. The culture there.”

The offer to Arkansas in the SEC means a lot to Stromberg.

“It felt so amazing,” Stromberg said. “Like a dream come true.”

Stromberg helped Union to a 9-3 record. He will play center at Arkansas after playing on both sides of the line for Union. He talked about how his senior season went for him individually.

“It went good,” Stromberg said. “It went like I wanted it to. I played at a different level than my junior year.”

What kind of offensive lineman is Arkansas getting with you?

“I play physical and through the whistle,” Stromberg said. “I play really hard. That is my biggest strength.”

He also had offers from Colorado State, North Texas, Arkansas State, Texas State, Nevada, Utah State, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan in addition to the Hogs and Tulsa.

He is the sixth offensive line commitment in the Class of 2019. He joins Jenks (Okla.) High’s Brady Latham, Tyler (Texas) Lee’s Beaux Limmer, Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab’s Dylan Rathcke, Iowa Central Community College’s Myron Cunningham and Lackawanna (Pa.) Community College’s Chibueze Nwanna. Cunningham and Nwanna are midterm. In addition, Searcy offensive lineman Andrew Vest is a preferred walk-on and also is enrolling early.

In addition to Stromberg and Latham, Arkansas also has a pledge from Putnam City (Okla.) defensive lineman Collin Clay. Morris and his staff are making recruiting Oklahoma one of its priorities.

Arkansas now has 26 public commitments. The early signing period is Dec. 19-21. The late one will begin on Feb. 6.
