Arkansas Searching Junior Colleges for Larger Defensive Backs

Arkansas is recruiting for bigger defensive backs and one place its looking is the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. 

The latest offer was extended to Independence (Kan.) Community College defensive back Cortez Eatmon, 6-3, 190. He is a bounceback from William Penn College where he played in 2018. Eatmon tweeted out the offer on Wednesday.

The offer to Eatmon came one day after Arkansas’ Mark Smith was at Independence. Eatmon, who is from Jasper, Ala., also was offered by Colorado on May 7. 

The Razorbacks have also offered Highland (Kan.) Community College cornerback Brian George, 6-2, 190, and Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College cornerback Art Green, 6-2, 203. George is from Belle Glade, Fla., and Green from St. Louis, Mo. 

As a freshman, George had 32 tackles, including 23 solo, 2.5 tackles for loss and five pass breakup. George, who has 20 offers, attended Arkansas’ spring game. Green holds 21 offers.
