Arkansas’ football staff will have a busy week with football camps and recruiting taking up their time each day.
The staff will hold a senior high overnight camp Monday and Tuesday. They will follow that with a junior high overnight camp Wednesday and Thursday.
On Friday, they will host another pair of camps. In the morning they will have a padded camp for offensive and defensive linemen in the morning. That afternoon they will hold an elite passing academy for skill position players on both sides of the ball.
The final camp will be Saturday when they hold the elite camp with coaches from nearly all the colleges in Arkansas present.
If any prospect is wanting to see his recruiting attention increase then Saturday’s camp is the one to attend. It will have coaches from all levels from SEC to junior college and all in between.
Some of the prospects known to camp at Arkansas this week are Highland Park (Texas) quarterback Chandler Morris on Friday, West Helena Central running back John Oliver Monday, Tuesday and Saturday and then Bentonville 2021 linebacker Cole Joyce on Saturday as well.
In addition to the camps, Arkansas will host Galena Park (Texas) North Shore running back John Gentry, Hazen defensive end Blayne Toll and Austin (Texas) Westlake wide receiver Mason Mangum for official visits. The visits will begin on Wednesday and conclude Friday.
Mangum is committed to Arkansas.Toll is a key target inside the state and the Hogs were the first school to offer Gentry a scholarship. Arkansas is among the favorites for both Toll and Gentry.
Some prospects from around the country will also make unofficial visits to Arkansas this week. Carthage (Texas) offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford is committed to the Hogs and will be back in Fayetteville on Tuesday.
The Hogs are also expecting to host some prospects from Memphis and other areas as well for unofficial visits.
Arkansas currently has seven commitments for the Class of 2020.
