Closer Look at Each 2020 Recruit Inside State With Power 5 Offer

The state of Arkansas has eight prospects in the Class of 2020 who hold at least one Power 5 offer.

One of the prospects, Jonesboro defensive end-outside linebacker Jashaud Stewart, has made a college decision. Stewart committed to Arkansas on March 9. 

Here’s a closer look at each of the prospects with each offer in 2019 unless otherwise noted.

Blayne Toll, DE, 6-6, 244, Hazen

Toll recently released a Top 5 of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Memphis. Most speculate he will choose the Hogs or Sooners. He plays both quarterback and defensive end for Hazen. His offers are as follows: Carroll College (March 17, 2018), Memphis (March 29, 2018), Rutgers (May 22, 2018), Southern Miss (May 25, 2018), Oklahoma State (June 6, 2018), Texas State (June 6, 2018), Louisville (June 7, 2018), Arkansas State (Dec. 6, 2018), TCU (Jan. 3), Central Michigan (Jan. 15), Kansas (Jan. 16), LSU (Jan. 17), Houston (Jan. 18), Tennessee (Jan. 18), Arkansas (Jan. 21), Ole Miss (Jan. 22), Vanderbilt (Feb. 2), FIU (Feb. 12), Boston College (Feb. 17), Baylor (Feb. 20), Penn State (March 12), Oklahoma (April 11), Auburn (April 13), Nebraska (April 29), Illinois (April 29) and West Virginia (May 2).

Jacolby Criswell, QB, 6-1, 208, Morrilton

Criswell missed part of his junior season due to injuries. He completed 89 of 157 passes for 1,350 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He rushed 72 times for 392 yards and four touchdowns. His offers are as follows: Seton Hill (Jan. 6, 2018), UCA (Jan. 7, 2018), South Alabama (Jan. 10, 2018), Arkansas State (Jan. 24, 2018), Memphis (March 28, 2018), NC State (May 18, 2018), Ole Miss (June 1, 2018), Mississippi State (June 2, 2018), Oklahoma State (June 6, 2018), Georgia (June 7, 2018), Arkansas (June 14, 2018), Colorado (Dec. 26, 2018), SMU (Feb. 1), Purdue (Feb. 12), North Carolina (Feb. 19), Houston (Feb. 28) and Miami (April 5).

Jashaud Stewart, DE-OLB, 6-2, 225, Jonesboro

As a junior, Stewart had 98 tackles, including 71 unassisted, 26 for loss, seven sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, one interception, three forced fumbles and four recovered fumbles. His offers are as follows: Arkansas (Nov. 30, 2018), Arkansas State (Dec. 7, 2018), Liberty (Jan. 9), Houston (Jan. 17), Louisiana-Monroe (Jan. 18), Troy (Jan. 28), SMU (Jan. 30), Memphis (Jan. 31), Kansas (Feb. 27) and Oklahoma State (April 30).

Catrell Wallace, OLB, 6-6, 215, Bryant

As a junior, Wallace had 79 tackles, two sacks and three blocked kicks while helping leading Bryant to the Class 7A state title. His offers are as follows: Arkansas (Oct. 27, 2018), Arkansas State (Dec. 6, 2018), Virginia (Dec. 18, 2018), Louisiana-Monroe (Jan. 23), Louisiana Tech (Feb. 15), Houston (Feb. 25), Nebraska (March 14) and Tulane (April 24). 

Robert Scott, OL, 6-5, 295, Conway

This talented lineman has emerged as one of the state’s top prospects. His offers are as follows: Louisiana Tech (Feb. 3), Arkansas State (Feb. 5), Missouri (Feb. 27), Mississippi State (March 1), Arkansas (March 9), Louisville (March 20), SMU (April 3), Kansas (April 8), Louisiana (April 12), TCU (April 25), Ole Miss (April 27), Nebraska (April 30) and Tennessee (April 30). 

Kendarrius Moore, LB, 6-1, 211, West Memphis

Moore is a talented linebacker who is seeing his recruiting gain steam. As a junior, Moore finished with 69 tackles, 50 solo, 17.5 for loss, one sack, two quarterback hurries, four interceptions, five pass breakups and a forced fumble. His offers are as follows: Louisiana-Monroe (Jan. 24), Liberty (Feb. 11), Navy (Feb. 25), Arkansas State (March 10), Oklahoma State (April 30), Vanderbilt (May 1) and Louisiana (May 6). 

Chris Hightower, WR, 6-1, 186, Little Rock Christian

Helped lead team to state title as a junior while catching 58 passes for 986 yards and 12 touchdowns. His offers are: Kansas (Nov. 2, 2018), Memphis (Dec. 13, 2018), Liberty (Jan. 17), Tulane (Jan. 29), SMU (Feb. 1), Louisiana-Monroe (March 13) and Air Force (April 15). 

Erin Smith, OL, 6-5, 286, North Little Rock

Team finished as state runner-up. His offers are: Tulane (May 1, 2018), Louisiana-Monroe (Jan. 18), Arkansas State (Feb. 5), SMU (Feb. 11), Memphis (Feb. 13), Louisiana Tech (Feb. 19), North Texas (Feb. 21) and Kansas (April 23).

Dreyden Norwood, CB-ATH, 6-1, 175, Fort Smith Northside, 2021

Offers are: Arkansas (Feb. 11) and Mississippi State (April 10).

E’Marion Harris, OL, 6-6, 305, Joe T. Robinson, 2022

Alabama (June 8, 2018), Texas State (June 9, 2018), Arkansas (Jan. 26), Tennessee (Feb. 28), TCU (March 3), Nebraska (April 29), Oklahoma (April 29), Louisiana (May 3) and Memphis (May 3).

James Jointer, RB-S, 6-1, 185, Little Rock Parkview, 2022

Arkansas offfered on Jan. 26.
