Arkansas currently has eight commitments for the Class of 2020 and could add more in coming weeks prior to the season.

The projections for each position can change in coming weeks and months. But here’s a look at how each position stands today and where it could be at signing day.

Quarterback

Arkansas currently doesn’t have a quarterback committed in the class, but that is expected to change in the future. The safe bet is Highland Park (Texas) High School’s Chandler Morris ends up with the Hogs. He has several offers and is headed to the Elite 11 June 28-30 in Frisco, Texas. As of now it appears the Razorbacks will just sign one quarterback.

Running Back

Hogs also have no running backs committed in this class. That will be changing though with them expected to sign a couple in the class. They are on several running backs. Houston North Shore’s John Gentry will be at Arkansas next week on an official visit. Arkansas is also recruiting running backs from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and other states.

Wide Receiver

Arkansas has three wide receivers committed in the class and they likely aren’t finished. They are still on some talented ones. Look for Arkansas to likely sign 3-4 in this class. They currently have Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark’s Ze’Vian Capers, Marshall (Texas) High School’s Savion Williams and Austin (Texas) Westlake’s Mason Mangum committed.

Tight End

Arkansas wanted two in this class and they currently have them. Crockett (Texas) High School’s Allen Horace and McKinney (Texas) North’s Brandon Frazier were at the top of Arkansas’ wish list and they landed both. These two will combine with Hudson Henry to give Chad Morris and Barry Lunney Jr. some weapons and options at tight end.

Offensive Line

Arkansas has a commitment from Carthage (Texas) High School’s Ty’kieast Crawford. He is very talented and someone who can come in and make an immediate impact. Arkansas also hosted Athens (Texas) High School’s Garrett Hayes and they are in the mix there. Arkansas is also on several other offensive linemen with it looking as if they sign 3-4 there.

Defensive Line

The Razorbacks have a commitment from Jonesboro rush end Jashaud Stewart. He’s a very talented pass rusher and can create havoc coming off the edge. The Hogs also recently hosted Houston (Texas) Cy Ridge’s Vernon Broughton. The Hogs are against some great competition for Broughton, but he brought his entire family to Fayetteville and they left impressed. It appears the Hogs will likely sign 3-4 defensive linemen in 2020.

Linebacker

This is definite position of need. Arkansas is recruiting Bryant’s Catrell Wallace and the Memphis Whitehaven pair of Martavius French and Bryson Eason as well as numerous others. They don’t have any linebackers committed at this time, but expect them to sign 3-4 at least in 2020. If the numbers can fit and the Hogs can get five it would help with the depth at these spots.

Secondary

Arkansas has a commitment from New Orleans (La,) Edna Karr cornerback Jamie Vance. They are expected to try and sign 4-5 cornerbacks (counting nickel backs) and 1-2 safeties. The Hogs are young in the secondary with safety Kamren Curl the most experienced and he’s just a junior who has never redshirted. The key in the secondary is much like linebacker they need to get their numbers up with this class. Morris and his staff did that on the offensive and defensive lines in 2019.
