Razorback Basketball Players React to Perry’s Commitment

Five-star recruit Reggie Perry announced Monday morning on Twitter that he is committing to play for Ben Howland and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Just twelve days prior, Perry decommitted from the Hogs, citing the need to be closer to his father. However, Starkville is located 7 hours Perry’s hometown of Thomasville, GA. Meanwhile Perry reportedly had offers from Florida State (Tallahassee – 50 minutes), Auburn (Auburn, AL – 3.5 hours) and Georgia Tech (Atlanta – 4 hours), all times according to mapquest.com.

Perry spoke with 247Sports, telling them “it was the coaching staff and I wanted to continue my dad’s legacy there, that was a big factor for me.”
