Former Hog and current Washington Wizards forward Bobby Portis has his #10 jersey retired Friday night at Hall High School in Little Rock.

Portis won 4 state titles with the Warriors, and was named a McDonalds All-American.

The 2015 SEC Player of the Year says he’s honor to be recognized for all his hard work from his home town.

“Kind of like a surreal feeling. When you are a kid, you’re not playing to get your jersey hung up. You aren’t playing for all the accolades. You are just playing to have fun and try to get as many wins as possible. Now that I look back and reflect, I think it’s a big accomplishment for me.” says Portis.

After 2 seasons at Arkansas, Portis was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2015. He was traded to the Washington Wizards in February.
