When the Hogs needed a spark Saturday, Desi Sills delivered as one of only two Razorbacks to score off the bench against Western Kentucky. In 16 minutes facing the Hilltoppers, Sills scored nine points going 4-6 from the floor, and did not commit a turnover. During one span in the second half, the Freshman had three straight buckets, but Mike Anderson doesn’t ONLY want to talk about scoring the ball when it comes to Sills.
” He did what he does. He willed us back in to this game. We were down I think 8 points and I thought his defensive presence out there, his energy level, attacking the basket, finishing. He was just dialed in and that’s, that’s what I’m looking for. I’m looking for guys that in the waning moments when you’ve got to make plays…who are those guys going to be?” Anderson said.
In Sills’ last three games, he’s combined to go 9-13 from the field with 24 points, while also pitching in 7 assists. He is number one among Hog Reserves in minutes played at a clip of 15.5.
Arkansas (6-2) is back in action Saturday Night taking on UTSA (3-6) at Verizon Arena with a tip time at seven.
