Kevin Richardson is back full go this week and that means the Hogs have their starting nickel back who was limited against Texas A&M this past Saturday.
K-Rich has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and since that was the case on Saturday, Richardson could not get the reps he wanted to try and contain Christian Kirk, who gave Arkansas fits with two touchdown catches. With K-Rich potential back to form, the Hogs get a captain on the field more and a key part of the secondary.
“I was prepared to play last weekend,” said Richardson. “But, you know, it was just a thing that Coach (Paul) Rhoads didn’t feel confident in my ankle and he just wants me to get to 100%. I’m just doing what I can to play and prepare this weekend. I’m not gonna go out there and feel like I gotta be super man and make all the plays, I’m just gonna go play like I’m supposed to do in this system.”
