Arkansas tight end Cheyenne O’Grady didn’t dress out for Tuesday’s practice.
Sources indicated he had strep throat. He was present watching the tight ends and team go through their drills. O’Grady easily had his best game of the season on Saturday against Texas A&M when he caught three passes for 77 yards.
In addition, starting running back Devwah Whaley was in a yellow jersey on Tuesday. Whaley was injured against Auburn and missed the Texas A&M game with a concussion. Sources indicate he is expected to be out this Saturday against Alabama as well. Whaley leads the team in rushing with 53 attempts for 231 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Wide receiver Gary Cross continued to practice in a green jersey. He was injured against North Texas and hasn’t played since.
Arkansas will host top-ranked Alabama on Saturday at 11 a.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
