Arkansas has extended a new Class of 2019 preferred walk-on offer and also continues to recruit a talented defender in the state.
First, I ran a list of Arkansas’ eight known preferred walk-on offers on Saturday. Unfortunately I left one off by accident, Jonesboro linebacker Logan Orr, 6-2, 220. Here’s a story published here on Nov. 27 about Orr’s offer to the Hogs.
As a senior, Orr finished with 85 tackles, including 41 unassisted, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and one interception.
Orr has a PWO from both the Hogs and Arkansas State. He also has a baseball offer from Three Rivers College in Missouri and then a baseball-football offer from Hendrix College. He is a first baseman in baseball.
In addition, on Monday Arkansas extended an offer to Highland Park (Texas) wide receiver Finnegan Corwin, 5-10, 165. He is a key target of Highland Park 2020 quarterback Chandler Morris. The Scots will take their perfect 14-0 record into Saturday’s game at noon at AT&T Stadium against Denton Ryan.
In the 14 games so far this season, Corwin has caught 70 passes for 1,441 yards and 13 touchdowns with a long of 77 yards. He also has returned nine punts for 112 yards including a touchdown. In addition, Corwin has rushed twice for eight yards and is 0-1 passing. He returned two kickoffs for 14 yards as well.
