Arkansas is hosting University of Texas San Antonio kicker Jared Sackett today.
Sackett, 6-1, 190, has kicked two years for UTSA. This past season, he was 14-of-19 on field goal attempts with a long of 51. His only five misses were between 40-49 yards. He was perfect on 18 point after touchdowns as he scored 60 points.
In 2017, Sackett was 19-22 on field goals with a long of 44. The 19 field goals is a school record for a single season. He had 80 points. In two seasons, Sackett had 14 kickoffs and averaged 56 yards with one touchback.
He played his high school football at Fort Worth (Texas) Timber Creek. He was a 2017 Lou Groza Award semifinalist as well as a Freshman All-American with USA Today.
At Timber Creek, Sackett was a first-team all-district place-kicker making8-of-10 field goals with a long of 46 yards. Named the team’s special teams player of the year following his senior season. Three-year letterwinner for the Falcons. Also a three-year starter for the soccer team.
Arkansas’ kicker Connor Limpert is a senior this season.
Among the other recruits expected to be in attendance on Saturday are Highland Park (Texas) quarterback Chandler Morris, Little Elm (Texas) defensive back Ryan Watts, Greenville (Miss.) St. Joseph running back Dillon Johnson and many others.
