We are going to be starting a series on cloud types today. We have already talked about puffy cumulus clouds so we are going to continue to introduce you to common cloud types.
This segment will focus on the high wispy cloud types called cirrus clouds. They are often made up completely of ice crystals due to their location in the atmosphere.
I hope you learned some more about cirrus clouds and their importance in weather forecasting.
As always you can send us your questions and any topics you want us to cover to our email weather@knwa.com.
