Join Meteorologist Rick Katzfey as he explains what a cold front is and how it affects our weather here in Northwest Arkansas. Fronts are the building blocks of major weather patterns and are often very important to consider when forecasting storms.
Expect cooler temperatures behind this particular front with rain and storms either occurring ahead of or behind the cold front. There can often be differences in moisture content and wind direction as well.
Hope you have learned a little bit about cold fronts from this segment of Weather 101. As always you can send us your questions and any topics you want us to cover to our email firstname.lastname@example.org.
