Join us on this segment of Weather 101 as we discuss the impact of the sun on creating the weather we experience. Meteorologist Rick Katzfey explains just how important the sun is to our weather.
If we did not have the heating from the sun we would have NO weather!
In fact the uneven heating of the earth's surfaces can help create areas of higher and lower pressure. These pressure differences create wind which then can cause ingredients to come together for many different types of weather. The strong influence on the weather has given the sun the nickname of the weather engine.
Hope you learned a little about the sun and the weather on this segment of Weather 101. As always you can send us your questions and any topics you want us to cover to our email email@example.com.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
