Here is your weather outlook as of 9 a.m. for Friday through the weekend from our NWA Weather Authority.
We are still watching for strong to severe storms to develop late Friday night well after 6 PM, and those storm chances will continue well into the early morning hours on Saturday, possibly even into late Sat morning.
There is still a little bit of uncertainty on where the heaviest axis of rain will setup, but it appears NWA will be in the bullseye for some of the heaviest rain totals. We are talking about 4 to 8+” after this all comes to an end late Saturday night… the heaviest of the rain should be during the day and evening on Saturday. That’s when the flash flooding threat will really crank up. The tornado threat is very conditional on the position of the warm front and if the storms will remain isolated and discrete.
The risk for Friday into early Saturday morning will be updated 5 times on Friday… 1 AM, 8 AM, 11:30 AM, 3 PM and 8 PM. So be on the lookout for your updated weather risk!
