NWS Springfield, MO office (Barry & McDonald County, MO)

Estimated snowfall totals from NWS Springfield in SW Missouri for January 15-16, 2022.

Widespread snow accumulations ranged from a dusting to 4 inches across extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks. A very narrow band of 5 to 8 inches occurred along a line from Branson, to Dogwood, to Mansfield Missouri. Very little snowfall fell across the Lake of the Ozarks region. Note–These measurements come from flat surfaces, not grass surfaces. Warm ground allowed for melting in many places during this event.
