Dry air continues to filter into the area as an atypically cool ridge of high pressure will settle over the plains today and tomorrow.
Very cool starts to both today and Tuesday morning can be expected. Many locations will see temperatures in the low 50s, possibly a few upper 40s, Tuesday morning as the surface ridge axis will be over the area.
Another front will move through late Tuesday into Wednesday. Moisture return appears somewhat limited ahead of the boundary, so will continue with low pops mainly for northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The upper pattern will transition to more zonal flow for late in the week and over the weekend.
Several disturbances will interact with a surface boundary that will move into at least parts of the area. Given the uncertainty with timing of the upper waves and boundary placement, will continue with at best chance pops for late in the work week and over the weekend.
