Weather Blog: Mild Weather for Wednesday

Weather Talk

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma may move into parts of northeast Oklahoma this morning before weakening.

Additional showers and isolated thunderstorms may move into our Kansas border counties from the west this afternoon, but will also weaken as they move east.

A better chance of showers and thunderstorms will exist late tonight into Thursday morning across mainly northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas in a strengthening warm advection pattern.

This scenario may repeat itself late Thursday night and Friday morning, but likely farther to the northeast, so pops will be less in our area at that time.

An upper ridge will build north and strengthen over the area this weekend into the first part of next week, so more typical August heat and humidity will take hold during this time period, with little chance of any rainfall.

Stayed close to guidance temperatures the next couple days.
