Weather Blog: Summer-like temperatures ahead of storm chances

Weather Talk

Warm conditions are expected again today across eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.

Afternoon temperatures in the mid/upper 80s will be possible for the CWA with southwesterly winds.

A ridge remains in place over the CWA Thursday and then gets a push eastward Friday from a wave progged to move onto the west coast Thursday, into the Rocky Mountain region Friday, and finally into the plains Saturday.

Ahead of the approaching wave, warm temperatures and breezy southwesterly winds are forecast through Friday, with a more active weather pattern expected for the weekend as the wave moves through the plains.
