(via KARK) — Donald Trump has expressed thanks to some Republican colleagues from Arkansas for his Election Day victory.

It was early Wednesday morning before the New York businessman could claim the win as 45th president-elect.

“By the way, Mike Huckabee is here someplace, and he is fantastic. Mike and his family; bring Sarah, thank you very much,” he told the crowd gathered for his campaign watch party (see video embedded below).

“Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country. I mean that very sincerely,” the president-elect said of his Democratic opponent.

On a related note, Arkansan and pro golfer John Daly tweeted congratulations to Trump on Wednesday, calling him “my great friend” and adding “thank you for putting Americans first.”
